Purpose
This article goes over information regarding the Owner Login page, what it means, and how to navigate it.
Process
The Owner Login page is necessary for the kiosk to be able to communicate with the VMS. It is the first page that comes up after starting the app when the kiosk is first installed on site, or a new CPU is installed on the kiosk. It is important that every field is filled out correctly to ensure that the kiosk reports properly to the VMS.
Owner Login Page Fields
- Company Name - The subdomain for the Organization's VMS. You can find this by looking at the leftmost section of the URL for your VMS (see below). Please type it into the field exactly as shown.
- Username - The username used to log into the VMS by any user with a manager role. This field is case sensitive.
- Password - The password used to log into the VMS by the manager specified above. This field is case sensitive. If you are experiencing any password-related issues, please contact the support team for assistance.
- Device ID - This is the PLK ID of the kiosk. You can find the PLK ID on a sticker on the right side of the unit. Type it exactly as shown with the PLK portion included in all capitals. (Example: PLK012345)
- Gateway Password - This is only filled out if the kiosk has a USAT card reader installed. Kiosks with Castles readers can leave this field blank. If you are experiencing issues with your gateway password, you can generate a new password from your Seedlive account or contact the support team for assistance.
If the kiosk is incorrectly assigned the PLK ID of another market that can be found in your VMS, you will be able to get past the Owner Login page, but this will cause problems with both kiosks.
You can confirm the PLK ID that is set at the kiosk by going to the Driver Console and clicking on the Diagnostic tab.
If the PLK ID is incorrect, the Owner Login screen will have to be filled out again with the correct PLK ID. This is done through the Clear Storage button in the Driver Console.
Clearing Storage
Pressing the Clear Storage button should only be done if the kiosk’s PLK ID is being moved to another market in the VMS, the kiosk has not been assigned the correct PLK ID, or the kiosk is being transferred over to another company. If the kiosk has a USAT reader installed, a new gateway password must be generated.
