Purpose
This article will provide the steps on how a customer can request the deletion their Koin account.
Process
Submitting the Request through the Operator
Users can submit an account deletion request through their local Operator/Organization. If they have a balance on their account, users can request a refund with their local operator through cash, check, or other refund option the Organization offers (Venmo, Cash App, Paypal, etc).
Submitting the Request through the App
- While logged into the Koin app click the Koin logo in the upper leftt hand corner.
- Click Account.
- Click Delete Account at the bottom. This sends a request to the Operator to process.
How to Delete Accounts in VMS
Individual Accounts
- Go to the Organization’s VMS.
- Go to Settings -> Micro Markets -> User Accounts.
- Search for the accounts user’s name or email.
- Click the trash can on the right side to delete account.
Bulk Accounts
- Go to the Organization’s VMS.
- Go to Settings -> Micro Markets -> User Accounts.
- Search for the accounts by different criteria (i.e. location, home MicroMarket, etc).
- Select the desired accounts using the check box on the left hand side.
- Click Options -> Bulk Delete.
What if there is a Balance?
If the user still has a balance on their account when they request a deletion they can either spend the balance at their local market (before deletion) or request a balance refund from the Operator/Organization.
