Purpose
The purpose of this article is to detail the possible single and multi-vend options in AVLive services.
Overview
Vending options exist primary as Single Vend (No Pre-Auth) or Multi Vend (Pre-Auth).

By default, Vending will attempt to preform a Pre-Authorization before vending items, regardless of whether the purchase is a single item or multiple items.
When the device is configured to Single Vend mode. There will be no Pre-Auth performed, thus no balance holds will occur.
Configuration
In AVLive, navigate to Edit Machine > Settings > Vends allowed per transaction
- If “Vends Allowed per transaction“ is set to 2 or more. Then a Pre-Authorization for the Authorization Amount will be performed. (AVLive > Edit Machine > Settings > Authorization amount)
- If “Vends Allowed per transaction“ is set to 1. Then NO Pre-Authorization be performed.
User Experience
When a cardholder approaches the vending machine, they will be asked to present their card to make a selection in the same way as the PayPlus works today. If the machine is set to single vend, the cardholder will not see a hold on their credit card statement for the vending purchase (Pre-Auth).
