Stockwell 2.0 - Troubleshooting - Cooler Door Alignment
Updated

Purpose

This article contains adjustment and testing steps for ensuring that the cooler door of your Stockwell 2.0 shuts and locks properly. If you notice that your Stockwell 2.0 door is not locking in some circumstances, please follow the steps below to correct the issue.

Process

  1. Once the unit is placed in its final location, use a carpenter level to level the unit. Proper leveling of the unit is important for the door closing and water drainage during the defrost cycle. If the unit cannot be completely leveled, you may need to adjust the latches to compensate.

  2. Unlock the cooler doors with a transaction. Note that you will not be charged for this transaction, as no products will be leaving the unit.

  3. Use a Philips head screwdriver to loosen the two screws of the latching mechanism. With the screws loosened, move the latch up or down as needed.

  4. When better alignment has been achieved, tighten the screw back into place.

  5. Perform all three door closing tests listed below. Please note that all three tests must be successful to ensure that door will lock in as many scenarios as possible.

    • Short range test - put your hand in between the door and body of the unit, then remove your hand so that the door shuts from a short distance. If the door latches properly, move on to the next test. If the door does not lock, readjust the latch and try these tests again.

    • Medium range test - Open the door to an approximately 45-degree angle, or about halfway open. Release the door, allowing it to swing shut. If the door latches properly, move on to the next test. If the door does not lock, readjust the latch and try these tests again.

    • Long range test - Open the door all the way to a 90-degree angle and let the door swing shut. If the door does not lock, readjust the latch and try these tests again. If the door does latch properly, the lock is operational, and your cooler is ready for business.
