Purpose

This article describes how an Operator can create announcements through ADM, which appear on the Consumer's mobile app Home and Notifications pages. It also covers how to configure push notifications and fullscreen announcements.

Process

1. Log into ADM. 
   
   
2. From the main menu, select Admin. Then, select the Consumer Engagement option from the resulting drop-down menu.
   
   
3. You will now be taken to the Consumer Engagement page. Click on the Announcements section - this will expand this portion of the web page. From here, select the Create Announcement button. 
   
   
4. The Create Announcement page will now display. Select any location(s) for which you would like the Announcement to display.
   
   
5. Select a Start Date and End Date for the Announcement, or you may select Has No End Date.
   
   • Setting an End Date will automatically disable and remove the Announcement on the day/time specified.
     
     
   • Selecting Has No End Date means the Announcement will display indefinitely until it is manually disabled.
     
     
6. Configure the announcement tile verbiage.
   
   • Enter a Header for the announcement (maximum 28 characters, no emojis).
     
     
   • Enter a Body for the announcement (maximum 150 characters, no emojis).
     
     
7. Optionally, upload an image for the announcement tile.
   
   • Image Size: 330x170 optimum, 4:3 ratio
     
     
   • Allowed File Types: JPG, PNG
     
     
   • File must be less than 2MB
     
     
8. Optionally, enable a button that can direct to a link or PDF file.
   
   
9. Publish the Announcement by selecting the Save button. The announcement should display in the app within 15 minutes.

Configure a Push Notification for an Announcement

When creating an announcement, you have the option to include a push notification to alert users on their devices.

1. Log into ADM.
   
   
2. From the main menu, select Admin, then choose Consumer Engagement from the drop-down menu.
   
   
3. On the Consumer Engagement page, click on Announcements to expand this section.
   
   
4. Create or select an existing announcement.
   1. Follow the steps in the Create Announcements for the Home & Notifications Pages section to create a new announcement, or select an existing one to edit.
      
      
5. Enable and configure push notification verbiage.
   
   1. Check the Send Push Notification box.
      
      
   2. Enter a Header for the push notification (maximum 50 characters, no emojis).
      
      
   3. Enter a Body for the push notification (maximum 150 characters, no emojis).
      
      
6. Set the send time.
   1. In the Send push at field, select a time to send the push notification.
      
      
   2. Times are displayed in military time and will send according to each location’s local time zone.
      
      
   3. Send timing details:
      • If the Start Date has not yet occurred, the push will send on that date at the selected push time.
        
        
      • If the Start Date has already passed, the push will send today or the next day, depending on the time selected in the Send push at field.
        
        
7. When editing an existing announcement, a Resend Push Upon Save field will appear with Yes and No options.
   Choose Yes if:
   1. The push has already been sent and you’ve made changes that you want to resend.
      
      
   2. The push has not yet been sent, and you’re now configuring it for the first time.
      
      (This field does not appear when creating a new announcement.)
      
      
8. Click Save to apply your updates and schedule the push notification.

Configure a Full Screen Ad for an Announcement

1. Log into ADM.
   
   
2. From the main menu, select Admin, then choose Consumer Engagement from the drop-down menu.
   
   
3. On the Consumer Engagement page, click on Announcements to expand this section.
   
   
4. Create or select an existing announcement.
   1. Follow the steps in the Create Announcements for the Home & Notifications Pages section to create a new announcement, or select an existing one to edit.
      
      
5. Enable and configure full screen announcement verbiage.
   1. Check the Enable Fullscreen Ad box.
      
      
   2. Enter a Header for the push notification (maximum 50 characters, no emojis).
      
      
   3. Enter a Body for the push notification (maximum 500 characters, no emojis).
      
      
6. Optionally upload an image for the fullscreen ad.
   1. Image Size: 1080 x 1920 optimum, 9:16 ratio
      
      
   2. Allowed File Types: JPG, PNG
      
      
   3. File must be less than 2MB
      
      
7. Optionally, enable a button that can direct to a link or PDF file.
   
   
8. Click Save to apply your updates. The fullscreen ad should display in the app within 15 minutes.

Note: Either a Header and Body or an image is required for the fullscreen ad announcement to be valid. The following combinations can be configured:

• Image, header, body, and button
• Image, header, and body Image and button
• Header and body
• Header, body, and button
• Image only

The following examples show how fullscreen announcements can appear to users. Visual style and layout may vary based on configuration options set in ADM.
