Purpose

This article covers the steps to change Jet Sorter settings in order to use it as a money counter in conjunction with the VMS. 

Process

1. While the Jet Sorter is in Batch Ended mode, press and hold the red button.
   
   
   
   
2. On the Select Special Mode screen that follows, touch Enter Setup Mode.
   
   
   
   
3. Select Port Setup.
   
   
   
   
4. At the top of the screen, switch from ** Port 1 ** to ** Port 4 ** by pressing the Next button at the bottom.
   
   
   
   
5. Adjust the BAUD, DATA, and PARITY settings to:
   • 9600
   • 8
   • None
     
     
6. Once set, press Exit.
   
   
7. From the Setup Main Menu, next press Peripheral Formats.
   
   
   
   
8. From the following screen, press Computer Interface.
   
   
   
   
9. On the Computer Interface Setup screen, switch the PROTCL and ACK settings to the only other setting available, which will match the image below.
   
   
   
   
10. Once set, press Exit.
    
    
11. Continue pressing Exit until you reach the normal operational screens. 

To change the sorter settings back, follow this guide in reverse.
