Purpose

This article explains the Customer Experience of using a PicoCoffee

Process

  1. When approaching the PicoCoffee, you may wake the touch screen by selecting which language option you would like to use. Alternatively, you may see a commercial playing on the device. Tapping the screen will dismiss the commercial and allow you to select your language option.

  2. The PicoCoffee will now direct you to select your drink order from the coffee machine's user interface
    If you are using a PicoCoffee+, which allows for the sale of snacks and other additional items, you may also scan items at this time. 
    Please note that all PicoCoffee devices allow for only one coffee vend per transaction.

  3. Once the customer has made their selection and customized their drink order, the cart will display on the PicoCoffee. This drink will be listed simply as "Coffee". 
    To change the name of this drink option as the operator, please see the article PicoCoffee and PicoCoffee+: Setup and Operator Guide.

    If you would like to remove any items from the cart, you may do so by selecting the X button next to the item. 

  4. When you're ready, select the green check out button in the bottom right corner of the screen. Once the payment has been received, the drink will dispense from machine, and your order will be complete.

FAQs

  1. Can I vend more than one coffee at a time with the PicoCoffee?
    No. PicoCoffee only allows for one coffee per transaction.

  2. What happens if there is an error on the coffee machine after I have paid on the PicoCoffee?
    If there is an error on the coffee machine that caused the coffee not to dispense, the PicoCoffee will immediately refund the transaction. 

  3. Do I order my coffee on the PicoCoffee UI or on the coffee machine?
    Customers will select their coffee on the coffee machine, finalizing the transaction on the PicoCoffee before the machine will vend the coffee.

  4. Can I use 365Pay on the PicoCoffee?
    Yes: the PicoCoffee is fully integrated into 365 Retail Markets Connected Campus solution, including stored value accounts.

  5. How do I add non-coffee products during the transaction?
    Users can scan additional items with the barcode reader at any time during the transaction. Items will then be added to your card. You do not need to have a coffee in your cart to complete your transaction.
