Cancel Monitor - Zbox - Static/Dynamic IP Address Change

Purpose

This article explains the process of switching a Cancel Monitor/Zbox from Static IP to Dynamic (Automatic assigned) IP and vise versa. Switching IP assignments can help in situations where the Cancel Monitor is not showing Online in remote access software (TeamViewer, LogMeIn).

 

 

Process

  1. Connecting a keyboard and mouse up to Zbox

  2. Alt + F4 to have the operator close the browser and bring it to desktop

  3. Press windows key to bring up start menu

  4. Go to settings

  6. Click Properties

  7. Under the setting for IP assignment click Edit

  8. Switch to the assignment needed (Automatic DHCP or Manual)

  9. Click Save

  10. Restart the Zbox. Once fully reset, the Zbox should appear online in LogMeIn after 2-3 minutes.

TLS Fix

Should the installed Internet Explorer web browser on a CA not properly connect to the Router page for a Cisco RV110, check the following Internet Explorer settings. For more specific Cisco Router TLS information, please see Cisco RV110w Router - Troubleshooting, Logs, & Color Indicators

  1. Open Internet Explorer, then click on the upper right setting button.

  2. Then, navigate to the Advanced tab (right most tab).

  3. Scroll down near the bottom and confirm that TLS 1.0 and 1.2 are checked (Check them if they are not checked, remember to hit Apply if needed).

  4. Restart the CA and attempt to access the router page again.
