LSAdmin - Creating Manual Orders
Updated

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the Manual Orders feature and how to create manual orders. Creating orders within LightSpeed is useful when a machine needs to be serviced that is not typically on your daily route, or if a client calls in with a delivery order last minute.

The article will demonstrate the needed settings to create manual orders either via machines, or via routes for bulk orders.

Manual Orders

The Create Route Orders feature can be found by navigating to Lightspeed Processes in the main menu, then selecting Create Route Orders from the resulting dropdown menu.

Manual orders can be built by route or by order. When built by order, Lightspeed allows you to name the order. Lightspeed Support can enable a unique machine category for these orders upon request.

There are 2 ways to create Manual Orders: either via the Machine/Order or via a Route for Bulk Orders

Manual Orders: By Machine

In this example, a test order labeled “Test” was used to name the Manual Order. The product can be added after this step.

Manual Entry: By Route

If you prefer to create a bulk order for the route, you can create a manual order with bulk items. These orders are given names automatically by Lightspeed: for example,  “Route 07- Bulk Order”.

Below you will find an example of a route detail by zone report for a bulk order.
