How to Create a Scheduled KDS Reboot

Process

The purpose of this article is to provide steps to set a scheduled KDS reboot. A scheduled reboot should occur when the KDS is not expected to be in use, or the facility is closed for the day. Regular scheduled reboots are a general maintenance feature that can improve long term function of the KDS device.

 

Purpose

  1. on ADM, navigate to Location > Device > KDS.

  2. On the KDS Edit Device Configuration screen, set the Reboot KDS Scheduled dropdown from No (default) to Yes.

  3. Once the Scheduled dropdown is set to Yes, more fields will generate (see below):

  4. Use the time and day dropdowns to schedule the reboot.

  5. Click the blue button Save at the bottom of the page.
