Purpose

The purpose of this document is to show how to power drain Receipt Printers and Kitchen Printers for ReadyTouch or KDS devices.

Process

Ready Touch Kiosk Printers

1. Locate the power cord and USB cord on the back of the printer.
   
   
2. Unplug both cables.
   • Please note: Remember where these cabled were unplugged from - install them exactly back as they were when complete.
     
     
3. Once unplugged, leave unplugged for roughly about two minutes, and then plug the power cable and USB cord back into the printer.
   
   
4. Once the printer is back powered, attempt a test transaction.

KDS Printers

1. Locate the power cord and Ethernet cord on the back of the printer.
   
   
2. Unplug both cables.
   • Please note: Remember where these cabled were unplugged from - install them exactly back as they were when complete.
     
     
3. Once unplugged, leave unplugged for roughly about two minutes, and then plug the power cable and Ethernet cord back into the printer.
   
   
4. Once the printer is back powered, attempt a test transaction.
