Purpose
The video above and steps below will guide you in deleting or disconnecting VMS machines so as to remove them from your operation when no longer needed.
Deleting a machine will remove it from your machines and to the machine graveyard, where it can only be "resurrected" by a user logged into the Manager role. Disconnecting a machine will move it from the Active machines list to the Disconnected machines, so that it can be retrieved easily once the machine is put back on location.
Process
Deleting a Machine
- While logged in to your VMS, click Vending > All Machines.
- Find the machine you wish to delete using the filters and search bars at the top of the list.
- Click the
to the far right of that machine.
- Click OK on the following popup to confirm you wish to delete the machine.
- Click OK to return to the Machine List.
Disconnecting a Machine
- While logged in to your VMS, click Vending > All Machines.
- Find the machine you wish to disconnect using the filters and search bars at the top of the list.
- Click the
to the far right of that machine.
- Click the Basic Info tab.
- On the righthand side, check the box Disconnected Machine.
- When you click Save Changes, the following popup will ask you to confirm to remove the telemeter Device ID associated with the machine (if the machine was online). This will ensure the device remains available to use on other machines.
