Purpose

This article goes over how to reset your password from VMS or have VMS send a password reset email.

Process

VMS Access

If you know your current VMS password and are able to log in successfully follow these instructions to reset your password. 

1. While logged into VMS, click the Settings cogwheel in the top right corner of the screen.
   
   
2. Select Users and locate the appropriate username.
   
   
3. Click the blue pencil icon in the far right column to get to the User Edit page.
   
   
4. Click Set Password. Then enter the current password, the new password, and confirm the new password in the correct fields.
   
   
5. Click Save Changes once the password fields are complete to apply the new password.

VMS Not Accessible

If you are not able to access VMS because you forgot your password, follow these instructions:

1. Go to the VMS login screen.
   
   
2. Click on Login Problems? in the area where you enter your password.
   
   
3. On the next page, there will be a field for you to enter your username. Please enter your username and hit “Request Password Reset”. This will send a password reset email to the email address that is associated with your VMS profile.
