This document is an explanation of your machine notifications. The machine notifications are available from the VMS and the Business Feed iOS or Android app.


Viewing machine notifications from the VMS

 Everyone can view the machine notifications except for the Warehouse users.

  1. To view notifications, click Notifications bell icon in the navigation bar.

  2. To choose machine notifications only, click Settings gear icon.

  3. Make sure the checkboxes in the machines section are checked. Uncheck any checkboxes not in the machines section.

  4. By default, the notifications for the current date are displayed.

  5. To view notifications from different dates, use Previous left arrow icon or Next right arrow icon on each side of the date.

Viewing machine notifications from the Business Feed app for iOS or Android

 Everyone can view the machine notifications except for the Warehouse users.

  1. To view notifications, open the Business Feed app for iOS or Android

  2. To choose machine notifications only, tap Menu VMS Context Menu icon.

  3. Tap Settings gear icon.

  4. Make sure the options in the machines section are toggled to on on icon. Toggle any option not in the machines section to off off icon.

  5. Tap Save.

  6. To close the settings and return to the notifications, tap Menu VMS Context Menu icon.

  7. Tap Business Feed.

  8. By default, the notifications for the current date are displayed.

  9. To view notifications from different dates, use Previous < or Next > on each side of the date.

Types of machine notifications and what is displayed

  1. Machine Serviced is a clickable link that opens the route progress screen along with the machine view. For information about the route progress screen and the machine view, see Route Progress, Machine View: Online, and Machine View: Offline. The following information is displayed on the notification:

    • The time that the machine was serviced.

    • The route that the machine is assigned to.

    • The location that the machine is assigned to.

    • The name assigned to the machine.

    • The type of service performed.

    • The amount of money collected.

  2. Machine Note Added is a clickable link that opens the machine list along with the machine notes tab of the machine view. For information about the machine list and the machine view, see Machine List, Machine View: Online, and Machine View: Offline. The following information is displayed on the notification:

    • The time that the note was added.

    • The route that the machine is assigned to.

    • The location that the machine is assigned to.

    • The name assigned to the machine.

    • The note contents.

  3. New Telemeter Connected is a clickable link that opens the Non-Assigned Devices screen for the implementation tool. For information about the implementation tool, see Implementation. The following information is displayed on the notification:

    • The time that the telemeter was connected.

    • The telemeter type.

    • The telemeter serial number.

    • The exact time and date of the connection.

  4. New Machine Implemented is a clickable link that opens the Non-Assigned Devices screen for the implementation tool. For information about the implementation tool, see Implementation. The following information is displayed on the notification:

    • The time that the new machine was implemented.

    • The route that the machine is assigned to.

    • The location that the machine is assigned to.

    • The name assigned to the machine.

    • The name of the person who implemented the machine.
