Parlevel - Machine Edit
Updated

The Machine Edit screen is where you can make quick changes to inventory, or edit more in-depth information about the machine. Machine Edit can be accessed by clicking the icon on the far right of a machine in the All Machines page, or the Edit Machine button found at the bottom of the Machine View, which is accessible from any place in the VMS where the name of the machine is clickable.
For information about the Machine View, see Machine View: Online and Machine View: Offline.

This article will go over the information and options available on each tab of the Edit Machine page.

Planogram

Price changes made on this tab will be processed immediately, but we do not recommend using this method to change the price. For information about the recommended method for price changes, see Product and Price Changes

  1. To make quick changes, click Modify Selections: Off in the top right corner of the screen to toggle it to Modify Selections: On.

    • Check the Edit Fields boxes that you want to edit.

    • This allows you to make quick changes to quantity (Q), parlevel (PL), price ($), and/or capacity (C).

Offline machines do not show Quantity.

    • Make necessary changes.

    • To Force Instant Product Changes, check the box at the bottom left of the screen. If you do not check this box, changes will take place the next time the machine is serviced.

    • Click Save Changes.

Basic Info

From the Basic Info tab you can modify the following:

  • Machine information, in the left and middle columns.

  • Machine Options:

    • Disconnected Machine: Check this if the machine has been removed from the field. For example, the machine is in the warehouse pending relocation. You will not pay for the machine while it is disconnected.

    • Offline Machine: Check this off to indicate that the machine is an offline machine with no telemeter attached. Offline machines do not report DEX data. Data can still be entered manually.

    • Has Credit Card Reader / Cashless Capabilities: Check if this machine has a credit card reader.

    • High Gain Antenna: Check this if you have a high gain antenna on the machine.

    • Forecast by Day of the Week: This can be enabled to use the machine's historical average amount of product sold by day of the week in forecast calculations for prekitting.

    • Two-Tier Pricing: This feature should be checked off when the machine has different prices for sales from cash and sales from credit cards, sometimes known as a 'convenience fee'.

    • Ignore Slot Capacities When Serviced: You can check this to indicate that this machine's slot capacities can be ignored when filling inventory. This will allow the individual stocking to set the slot quantity over the slot's capacity.

    • Use Sales Meter: When activated, this machine will use sales meter difference to calculate expected amount in consolidation. We generally don't recommend using this setting except in special cases.

    • Star This Machine: Click this to indicate a machine as a top-seller, which will put a star next to the machine's name on the All Machines page.

  • Static Schedule: If this machine is serviced on a regular basis, you can indicate this schedule here, and it will auto-populate on the route planning screen as scheduled for ease of access.
