The Machine Edit screen is where you can make quick changes to inventory, or edit more in-depth information about the machine. Machine Edit can be accessed by clicking the icon on the far right of a machine in the All Machines page, or the Edit Machine button found at the bottom of the Machine View, which is accessible from any place in the VMS where the name of the machine is clickable.

Planogram
Price changes made on this tab will be processed immediately, but we do not recommend using this method to change the price. For information about the recommended method for price changes, see Product and Price Changes.

To make quick changes, click Modify Selections: Off in the top right corner of the screen to toggle it to Modify Selections: On.

Check the Edit Fields boxes that you want to edit.

This allows you to make quick changes to quantity (Q), parlevel (PL), price ($), and/or capacity (C).
Offline machines do not show Quantity.

Make necessary changes.

To Force Instant Product Changes, check the box at the bottom left of the screen. If you do not check this box, changes will take place the next time the machine is serviced.
- Click Save Changes.

Basic Info
From the Basic Info tab you can modify the following:

Machine information, in the left and middle columns.

Machine Options:
-
Disconnected Machine: Check this if the machine has been removed from the field. For example, the machine is in the warehouse pending relocation. You will not pay for the machine while it is disconnected.

Offline Machine: Check this off to indicate that the machine is an offline machine with no telemeter attached. Offline machines do not report DEX data. Data can still be entered manually.

Has Credit Card Reader / Cashless Capabilities: Check if this machine has a credit card reader.

High Gain Antenna: Check this if you have a high gain antenna on the machine.
-
Forecast by Day of the Week: This can be enabled to use the machine's historical average amount of product sold by day of the week in forecast calculations for prekitting.

Two-Tier Pricing: This feature should be checked off when the machine has different prices for sales from cash and sales from credit cards, sometimes known as a 'convenience fee'.

Ignore Slot Capacities When Serviced: You can check this to indicate that this machine's slot capacities can be ignored when filling inventory. This will allow the individual stocking to set the slot quantity over the slot's capacity.

Use Sales Meter: When activated, this machine will use sales meter difference to calculate expected amount in consolidation. We generally don't recommend using this setting except in special cases.

Star This Machine: Click this to indicate a machine as a top-seller, which will put a star next to the machine's name on the All Machines page.

DEX Layout
View and change the active product slots from the DEX Layout tab.

To activate or deactivate all slots, click Layout Options and choose the appropriate option from the drop-down menu.

To activate or deactivate individual slots, click gray slots to activate them, or blue slots to deactivate them.
- Click Save Changes.
DEX Layout is not available for offline machines.

Pictures
View, add, or delete photos of the machine from the Pictures tab.

To add a photo, click Add Photo.

To edit the photo, click Edit .

To delete the photo, click Delete .
- Click Save Changes.
Notes
View, add, or delete notes about the machine from the Notes tab.

To create a new note, use the Post new note field.

Click Post when finished.

To view a note, click the note title.
-
To edit a note, click Edit to the right of the note you want to edit.

Click Save.

To delete a note, click Delete to the right of the note.

Click OK.
- Click Save Changes.
Advanced Settings
In the Advanced Settings tab, you can adjust various settings affecting more complex aspects of your machines. This section will explain each field available from left to right.
- Bottler Asset Number: The number by which the Bottler refers to the machine (if applicable).
- Key Number/Description: Identifying information for the machine's key.
- Commission: If applicable, enter the numerical value or percentage of the commissions applied to this machine. This setting will override the commissions assigned to the machine's location.
- Commission Type: Indicates whether the commission is a Flat Rate or a Percentage.
- Purchase Date: The date of the machine's purchase.
- Purchase Cost: The original cost of the machine.
- Cash When Placed: The amount of cash in the machine when placed at its current location.
- Cash When Removed: The amount of cash in the machine when removed from its current or last location.

Tags: You can assign custom tags to machines to help organize/filter them. The Tags column can be enabled on the All Machines page.

Default Service Action: Indicate the Default Service Action when this machine is routed (Service Only, Collect Only, Repair, Service & Collect).

Alert Group: This field indicates the Alert Group to which the machine is currently assigned. The machine will automatically be part of the Default Group, but this can be changed in Settings > Vending > Alert Groups. For more information on how to use and modify these, please see Alert Groups.

Prekit Group: This field indicates the Prekit Group to which the machine is currently assigned. The machine will automatically be part of the Default Prekit Group, but this can be changed in Settings > Warehouse > Prekit Groups, or following the next to the field name. For more information on how to use and modify these, please see Prekit Groups.
- Assign Subsidy Group: If this machine carries subsidized products, you can indicate the subsidy group here. For more information on setting up Subsidy Groups, please see our Quick Guide to Subsidies.

PayRange BlueKey ID: You can assign the PayRange device ID here if you are using one.

Assign New Planogram: (if applicable) If this machine's layout matches the layout of a saved planogram, then you will see this dropdown available in Adv. Settings. If this option does not appear, then there is a discrepancy in the layout of the machines and will need to be fixed before applying the planogram.

Static Schedule: If this machine is serviced on a regular basis, you can indicate this schedule here, and it will auto-populate on the route planning screen as scheduled for ease of access.
You can select whether the schedule repeats each week, or every second, third, or fourth week. For each option selected you will be able to specify the sequence of Service, Collect, and Audit for this machine.
By hovering over the Tool Tip, you can see which week the current schedule is on, which will help when planning or setting the following weeks.
