Tax Summary

The Tax Summary is separated by Tax Jurisdictions. Each jurisdiction is sectioned into Vending, OCS, and Markets.

  • Sales is the total amount of sales made in the jurisdiction for the date range selected. This amount is pre-tax.
  • Exempt is the amount resulting from products that are listed as Tax Exempt or in untaxed tax classes.
  • Taxable is the difference between the Sales amount and the Exempt amount.
  • Deposits Due are any Cash Return Values (CRVs) applicable to your state. If applicable, a total number of items in this category is given.
  • Surcharges Due is the amount resulting from any special taxes, such as a sugar tax.
  • Tax Due is the final amount of tax owed to the appropriate tax authority.

This report is sometimes compared to values in other analytics reports, but it's important to note that the figures of the Sales Tax report are pre-tax and do not reflect two tier fees charged, which can affect the values being displayed. This report also uses the Stocked information for offline machines, while other reports use Collections information.
