Under Analytics > Product > Product Sales Report, you can view data regarding all of your products across all machines for a given date range.
Upon loading the page, the last month will be loaded by default, but you can select an appropriate date range and click . You can narrow the results as needed by the following filters:
- Route
- Account
- Account category - These categories are created and specified in the Account Edit page.
- Location Type
- POS Group - This is the Alert Group, set in Settings > Vending > Alert Groups.
- POS - This will allow you to filter by a specific machine or market.
Under Options, you can print or export the report.
You can also Toggle Columns, which is useful for this report as it can have many columns, not all of which you may find relevant to what you're looking for. It is recommended that you toggle on only the necessary columns so as to make the report more easily readable. Here are the options available to toggle on or off:
Hint: Pressing Shift while clicking the column name will allow you to select multiple columns to filter.
Here we will explain each column that can be toggled, from left to right.
- Cst ID: This is the unique ID assigned to the product, if one has been set.
- Product: This is the name of the product. It is a clickable link that will allow you to view the Product Information modal.
- Type: This is the product family the product belongs to.
- Tag: This is the tag assigned to the product, if any.
- Avg Price: This is the average price of all all slots containing this product.
- Sales: This is the cumulative sales amount for this product for the selected date range. It includes all machine and market sales, but does not include OCS product sales.
- Units: This is the number of units sold for the date range.
- Cases: This is the number of units sold expressed as an equivalent of cases.
- Current Unit Cost: This is the current cost assigned to one unit of this product, if any is set in the product catalog.
- Avg Unit Cost: This is the average of the costs assigned to this product in its history. It's important to note that any mistakenly-entered costs are still factored in here. If a cost is entered with an extra digit ($2.00 entered as $22.00, for example), then any sale information gathered while the product is priced in error is still recorded into the average.
- Case Cost: This is the cost per case of this product, which is pulled from the Default Presentation case cost if the Warehouse module is enabled. If the module is not enabled, then then this is the unit cost multiplied by the case quantity.
- Dynamic Cost: This is the total sum of the costs for all sales of this product. For every sale made, the cost of the item at the time of the sale is saved, so this value reflects product cost changes.
- Fixed Cost: This is the current Unit Cost multiplied by the quantity of units sold in the selected date range.
- Margin: This is the difference between the current Unit Cost and the average price.
- % Margin: This is the margin difference expressed as a percentage.
- Daily Avg: This is the average dollar amount sold per day for the date range.
- Daily Unit Avg: This is the average number of units sold per day for the date range.
- In POS: This is the number of machines/markets the product is in.
- Avg/POS: This is the average sales for the product per machine/market.
- Profit: This is the difference between the product sales and its dynamic cost.
- Prekitted Amt. Units: This is the total quantity of units prekitted during the date range.
- Prekitted Amt. Value: This is the total value of units prekitted during the date range.
Product Sales Report Graphs
- Product Sales: This graph displays the top 10 product sales by default. To view all products or the bottom 10 products, click Options, then select the appropriate action from the drop-down menu.
- Sales by Category: This chart is a visual representation of product sales by category. You can click the to print or download the chart as an image file.
- Drink Sales: This graph displays the top drink sales by default. To view bottom drink sales, top drink units, or bottom drink units, click Options, then select the appropriate action from the drop-down menu.
- Snack Sales: This graph displays the top snack sales by default. To view bottom snack sales, top snack units, or bottom snack units, click Options, then select the appropriate action from the drop-down menu.
