MM6 Installation

The MM6 itself is a plug-and-play device. It is staged and assembled prior to shipment.

  1. Carefully unpack the MM6 kiosk. Be sure not to lose any mounting hardware or accessories which are included in the packaging box. Please contact 365 immediately if there is any damage caused by shipping.

  2. Place the Drill Template (included in packaging and in the attachments of this article) on the countertop in the desired location and secure it with tape. Use a 3/8" drill bit to drill holes in the two marked locations on the guide.

  3. Place the unit in the desired location on the counter, lining up the drill holes with the holes in the device. Insert the supplied carriage bolts through the square holes and secure them from the underside of the countertop with the washers and nuts.
    • If using the supplied wood screws, place the unit in the desired location and drive the screws through the base holes using a drill driver.

  4. Connect the MM6 to the 120VAC 3-prong grounded outlet. Press and hold the Power button located at the back of the kiosk, holding until it beeps. The MM6 will then boot up and automatically start the POS (Point of Sale) software.

To properly shut down the Kiosk when needed:

    • Open the kiosk and power down the PC by pressing its power button.

    • Once the PC is off, turn off the Kiosk by holding the Power button located in the back of the kiosk (the UPS) until you hear a long beep and then two short beeps.

  5. Once the unit is powered up, the operator should verify network connectivity and set up the router by connecting an operator-provided network cable from the MM6's LAN port to your local connection jack. Power for the router is supplied separately from the rest of the device. For more information on this process, see the Validating Network Status on ADM section of our Network Connectivity Verification article.

  6. Locate and write down the serial number of the MM6, located on the side of the kiosk. Use this number when contacting 365Support at (888) 365-6282 to complete remote configuration.

XP Unit Installation

This device supports an Expansion Unit (XP6). This expansion unit is an optional component that connects to the left side of the countertop kiosk. It contains peripherals such as a Vertical Up-Stacker and a Receipt Printer. When the Expansion Unit is combined with the MM5, these devices are called the MM6+.
