Stockwell 2.0 - Swapping Optconnect Neo2 with Max Aware

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to describe the switching process for Neo2 to Max Aware for Stockwell 2.0 and PicoCooler Vision devices. The Max Aware device features the ability to use a hardline connection with cellular failover to AT&T or Verizon.

Please note: A Philips Screwdriver, Scissors, and a 25ft Ethernet Cable will be required to complete the swap.

Process

  1. Unplug both Stockwell 2.0 cables from wall.

  2. Remove the 2 bottom screws from underneath front leg to remove center panel.
  3. Lift up center panel.

  4. Remove two screws from the PC slide rail then pull PC rail as far as it can go
  5. Cut the zip tie holding the Neo 2 in place, then remove the power, and both ethernet cables
    • If possible, place the cables and power cord around the door handle.
  6. Carefully move the Stockwell 2.0 away from the wall, slide unit from side to side to avoid bending the legs

  7. 7. Take the 25ft. ethernet cable and feed one end through the opening in the back of the Stockwell 2.0, make sure you push enough cable through so you can grab it from the front.
    • its a tight fit, but the cable will go through, you may need to use your screw driver to push it through
  8. Next, the ethernet cable you just ran and insert it into the WAN port.

  9. Now, put the other two ethernet cables into any of the open LAN ports.

  10. Plug in the Power cable for the MAX Aware and screw in the antenna cables.

  11. The Max Aware is magnetized, so take the router and place it on the left side wall under the vent.
  12. Give the Max Aware device a few minutes to properly establish a connection. Test the Kiosk connectivity.

  13. If tests are successful replace and close the front panel.
